Common questions about Planning Whale.

What are the limits of the free plan?

Free games are limited to 9 voting rounds and 5 issues per game. Players who play for more than 6 weeks will see a prompt to sign up. There is no limit on the number of players.

Is there a limit on the number of players?

No. Any number of players can join a game on all plans.

Do players need to create an account?

No. Anyone can join a game as a guest just by opening the link. Only facilitators who want to save game history and use premium features need an account.

What card decks are supported?

Fibonacci (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, ?, ☕), T-shirt sizes (XS–XXL), sequential (1–10), and fully custom decks defined by the facilitator.

Which issue trackers can I import from?

GitHub Issues, Linear, and Azure DevOps on the Premium plan. All plans support CSV import.

Can I delegate premium access to teammates?

Yes. From your account, go to Manage Facilitators and invite teammates by email. They'll get a premium experience under your subscription.

Can I cancel the trial without being charged?

Yes. Cancel any time during the 15-day trial and you won't be billed. Your premium features stay active until the trial period ends.

Where can I find my invoices?

All invoices are sent to your billing email automatically. You can also download them from Account → Billing.

The game isn't loading. What should I do?

This is usually caused by a network firewall or browser extension blocking WebSocket connections. Try disabling extensions or use a different network. Contact us if the issue persists.

Do you offer discounts for non-profits or resellers?

Yes. Email us with your details and we'll set you up with a discount code.
